What the heck is a one-piece fiberglass front clip? What are you talking about?

I think you must mean something else...

a 1 piece fiberglass hood/fender/grill like the ones on drag cars where the fenders and hood all come off in 1 piece

Definately. Otherwise, you could just get a 4-piece front clip and weld the hood, fascia and fenders together.

Why would you need one? The fiberglass and carbonfiber pieces should be fine. And you can replace them seperatly when/if you crash.

LOL, is that sarcasm? Because, YES, having seperate pieces will make replacing them easier. Especially if your ex's dad takes another shot at your car. LOL.

I'm figuring any custom 1 piece front body you come up with will need to have custom mouning points made sine the hood won't open and everything will have to be accesible from the underside.

Thing about this too. What happens if a belt breaks on the highway? You can't just pop your hood and replace it. (Assuming you carry a set of belts and some tools with you when driving a 12+ year old car and if you don't it would be a good idea. The same goes for radiator hoses and the best part is they don't have to be new. Rather, they just need to be good enough to limp home on or to a parts store.) Why can't you just pull the front piece off? Because it's fiberglass/carbon and will require two or preferably more people or a hoist system to remove with out cracking. Heaven forbid if it's a windy day....

What about when you want to check your oil?

It sure would be a pain to take off at the Quick Lube if you don't change your own oil.

Oh and you will need to carry tools anyway since you can't just unclip it. It will have to be bolted on.

Chances are any thing of this nature wil be to wide and designed to work with the manufacturers rear body work. Thus, it probably won't line up at all with the stock body panels unless you have a custom piece made. Said custom piece will be insanely expensive and for the price you could just do a full widebody kit or get some Work wheels or something... well maybe not quite that expensive but you get the idea.
