I had a guy come in a pick the driveshaft up to be welded up to fit the rb25det. I know Mckinney makes a 1 peice drive shaft and no one has complained about any vibrations issues. He told me that if its IRS and is originally a 2 pc driveshaft, if I were to put a 1 pc in then I will be fighting vibrations for the rest of my life. Now I want to believe him because he is an awesome fabricator... He builds Merkurs and Turbocoupes (Ford 4cly turbo cars) and when he goes 1 pc on those they vibrate. So hes gonna take the stock driveshaft and cut the yoke of the front and weld the skyline yoke on that and that way he can lengthen it or shorten it to whatever size he wants and still utilize the carrier bearing. My other concern is that a 2 pc shaft won't stand up to the abuse I think I will be putting on it. He told my that "Well the shaft that came out the skyline is a 2 pc, and they've been doing it years ago on cars that had 454s, so I don't understand why it wouldn't hold up". I'm still deciding if its gonna work or not. A couple of hard launches and I think it will snap but then again hes been doing custom fab for over 35 years. Hes making the 2 pc now it should be in today and the car is gonna be on the road. I'll launch it with stock bold tires and we'll see what happens

One piece wont vibrate if properly balanced.

2 things to consider is if the shaft is balanced line jon said and also to check the driveline angle. It should be MAX 3 degrees.
