Hello guys, I am here to pick you guys' brain again. Another question regarding to my EGR removal.

first question. the sensor in the picture 1. What do you guys do to the sensor attach to this metal plate? Do you guys take this thing off the plate and attach to the sensor and cap all the hoses or just leave the sensor in the car unplugged? I have searched and read somewhere about people putting 100ohm resistor on the sensor so the car won't throw code. Is this the sensor people are talking about?

second question. When I was removing the EGR, i noticed this little hook looking thing on the back of my car(picture 2 and 3), I am not sure if I accidentially unplug the hoses that goes on it or not. Should I cap this hook looking thing to prevent air leak or is it ok to leave it open?

Thanks in advance.

The writeup Fiznat did for the intake plenum should cover the EGR as well.zerothread?id=109345

that 180 degree bent pipe looks like its a vent from the transmission. Are you running an automatic transmission? I cant really tell in the pictures but there isnt a line like that on my SOHC motor. Anyone else have an idea on that?

I am running a 5 speed, and yeah, when i trace the hoses, it does look like it is coming from the transmission.

About the sensor. I did read Fiznat's post many times before I made this post, I just can't seem to find the plug I have posted in my picture in his article, that's why I was wondering if people keep it unplugged or plugged.

Should I cap it?

No, it has to stay where it is, uncapped. If you're ambitious, you can remove it to make sure it isn't clogged with bugs/etc. The gear oil has a tendancy to 'foam'(for lack of better terms), and needs to release that build-up of pressure in some manor.
