Got in an accident on my way to work this morning - I hit a patch of ice getting on the highway and bounced between concrete barriers and an old minivan- AAAAGGHH! Now it's sitting at the body shop waiting for the ins. Co to render judgement fix it or total it. It's not final but the agent I talked to on the phone says it doesn't sound good, 10 yr old car 109K mi. blah, blah. It will need at least new front fender, hood, front bumper, headlight, rear fender, door panel- I don't know if there's any suspension damage or not. So now I'm driving a (gag) tan Ford Taurus rental. If it is totalled I don't think I would have the time or money to go through reeinspection, fixing title, fixing car etx, etc.So, I may be in the market for a new(used) car. I will definitely pull my aftermarket parts- including the VLSD I had installed last week.

yes - I feel very lucky to have walked away with out any damage to myself or anyone else. It is a minor thing to have a broken car in the long run. I needed to vent somewhere it could be appreciated... thanks for the therapy

I'm in Cranston, just South of Providence. If I have to get another 240 I'm thinking a coupe w/ silvia front end, BTW anybody know if insurance would cover a mod like that? I don't have it, but I would consider it for a coupe, I have a white '93 FB now. I had just installed my taillights from Clearcorners with the clear turn signals in the rear- looked nice, too bad I didn't have a chance to take any pictures. now one is destroyed. I moved here recently from FL, so there's been no winter wear on the body. I figure my car would be valued around $3K, I hope I'm not overly optimistic.
