i have a red top SR20DET in my 240. my car hasnt ran properly for several months. i was driving one day and the car just shut off. after several minutes, i got it to start again and it ran for a few more days and then did it again and hasnt ran properly since. i got a new ecu and now the car will start but wont drive. it idles very irradically and has no power. i figured out that the #1 cylinder isnt working. i know i'm getting fuel and i know i'm getting good spark. i did a compression test today and i have 160 across all 4 cylinders so thats not the problem either. what else could it be? it wouldnt be anything like the MAF cause that universal across all the cylinders so what else would cause just 1 cylinder to not work. is it possible for the intake valves to be stuck closed, not letting air into the cylinder? is there any other component that operates each individual cylinder seperatly? any help would be great, thanks

it has to either not be getting spark, fuel,or compression on number 1 cyl casue if it has all three it would run on it

get new plugs, change the coil's from number 1 to 2 to see if it follows the coil, if not borrow someones ignitor and swap to see if it fixes it. if not it could be wiring.

Yeah him ruling out all of those at once made me know he didn't check any of them hahahahahaha. Find out which of those is missing first OP.

I guess I should have spelled out everything I've down so far.

SparkSwapped #1 and #2 coilpacks and nothing changed. All the plugs are new. Shot wires from the ecu to #1 coilpack. Tried a different ignitor chip. Pulled out #1 plug and coilpack and grounded it and saw there was spark.

FuelShot wires to #1 injector. Swapped #1 and #2 injectors and no change. Fuel pressure is good.

Did a compression check yesterday and all 4 showed ~160. The ecu is showing 55 as far as codes go so no help there.

Just let me know if there is something specific I've missed.

Pull the spark plug on the Number one cylinder. Is it really dirty? Moreso than the others?
