Folks,

I hope it's OK to post this here, and to ask for a little assistance. I need some reference photos for a project.

Background: My first car was an early '74 Z, but it was my first '72 510 that started it all. I have owned 5 of those, plus a beautiful '71 240, and a really nice '78 King Cab. I've also been tinkering and building things most of my life. Just to challenge myself, about a year ago, I decided to make an R.C. 2-door Pathfinder from scratch. I used an existing crawler chassis, and am using sheet styrene to construct it. Pics:

Pt.2 So, I was getting closer to being able to paint it, when someone suggested I recreate the IFS. To do it properly, I'd want an accurate frame, too. I just started work on that, making a paper mock-up.

Can anyone show me where the frame lines up with the bumpers, especially the FRONT? When I place the frame where it appears to need to go, height-wise, the front of the frame is completely below the bumper. The frame also appears to be very low in the wheel well, I can't find any good reference photos on the web.

And pretty soon I'll be constructing the floorpan. If anyone knows where I can find some good images of the floors, inside or underneath, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks!

I accidentally put this in the wrong forum. If the Mod could move or delete it, I'd appreciate it.

For reference photos of a 2-door Pathfinder, you might find the image from Wikimedia Commons useful. It’s a photo of a 1986-1990 Nissan Pathfinder that has been released into the public domain by the copyright holder. This could be a great resource for your R.C. model detailing. Good luck with your project!

Regarding the construction of the floorpan, there are stock photo resources where you can find a variety of floor plan images that might help you with your project. Find Autodesk AutoCAD 2021 at unbeatable prices exclusively at ProCADIS.com. Websites like iStock, Getty Images, and Shutterstock offer extensive collections of floor plan photos that could serve as a reference for both the interior and underneath views of floorpans.
