Epic video. Veyrons are garbage anyways... That guy thought it was a Lamborghini; should know what a car is if it's gonna be your dream car.

Fun post.

This whole thing smells fishy. (No pun intended.) The guy owns a high-end vehicle restoration business and it just so happened that someone was filming the car at the time of the accident. There also was no sign of a pelican or other bird anywhere in the video.

What a d/b....he doesn't deserve a car like that.

This should have been our "Caption This" for the month.

"Hey Bubba....can you hear me now?"

I saw this all over the news yesterday and all I could think of is that he was an idiot for doing that. I hadn't seen this video though. At the 5 second mark you can see 'something' explode on the front of the car. If it was a pelican hitting the car I could see that scaring the crap out of you, causing you to drop the cell phone, and not be able to see where you were going...

So now I don't know, maybe he isn't an idiot. Maybe he just had a REALLY bad day.

Even if that blur is something hitting the car he doesn't lose control for another 11 seconds. I'm still not convinced this guy is legit.

That is a smudge on the window. Coincidence.

Ah, I watched it again, and you are right, it's just a smudge on the car window that is recording it. So my thoughts go back to what they were before. The guy driving the car is an idiot

if I'm not mistaken I read somewhere the 16.4 stands for the number of cylinders (16) and the number of turbos (4), not the displacement

His point is, you can get 1000+ hp out of a supra with less then half of the cylinders, 1/4 the turbos, close to 1/6 the litres and I don't even want to do the math on the price.

I'm not going to argue how much HP you can get out either one, I know a guy that has a supra with like 1100-1200 hp, but the two cars on on two very different levels. To get a supra up to the 1000+ hp mark requires a lot of modifications with big turbos, but yes at still a very small fraction of the price of the veyron. In theory a engine that has more cylinders and turbos and displacement should get wayyy more that 1000+ hp, but the amount of other engineering aspects of the veyron make it a very remarkable car. Don't get me wrong I love both cars, but its hard to compare just the hp of the two, when there are so many other differentiating factors between them. just my .02

I'm glad the symbol on the trunk of the car decides your opinion. But if it makes you happier, I haven't seen it yet but I'm sure you could make a 1000+ hp G for under 1.7 million.

Yeah that is true, I'm not going to be the one to s*** talk Bugatti because I do admire what they've done, but it's just not something I'd invest the better part of 2 million dollars in.

Couldn't agree more, besides even after the initial 1.whatever mil you end up spending, the upkeep isn't cheap either. Unless I had billions of dollars, there is no way I would ever spend that much for a car.

Okay, my mistake. Eight liters, still pretty much the biggest engine.

At our honeymoon in Maui, a prince from somewhere in Africa showed up and brought his collection of cars with him... He also had a yellow Lambo that isn't pictured here...

We were there for two weeks and those cars arrived on day two and I must say jealousy isn't the right word for his car collection.
