Uh, no. Different engine code means different engine. And what exactly is the point?Versafy wrote:so ve been doing research and i found the only diffrerance between the 1.6 and the 1.8... the stroke on the 1.6 is about .4-.5 inchs longer and the bore is (cant remembr i got the info somewhere in my house lol) alot bigger on the 1.8...other then that its the exact same motor....just incase anyone was wondering(mabye you can use the 1.6 crank on the 1.8 )
The HR engine comes in 1.5 and 1.6. The 1.6 is the one that's in the Versa base.shiryu0 wrote:yeah, HR and MR are two completly different engines........ MR18 and MR20 are the same family, and pretty much the same, i dont what displacement the HR's come in, but they should all be pretty similar in design........

The 1.8 satisfied me in power but any more of a loss in power and it would feel sluggish to me. I mean, the Versa is pretty heavy for being Nissan's cheapest car...

True. But I never stated I was satisfied with the 1.8 in a sense that it's "OMG FAST." I just meant it can get out of it's own way. I don't know how the 1.6 performs but I do know you can't just throw a tiny engine in any car. A Yaris or Accent do well with their engines because they weigh much less than a Versa.D3stro wrote:
