Traded in my old Trooper with the cash for clunkers bill and got me the base Versa. Has anyone tried to remove the rear seats on one of these? I'm thinking of popping the partition through into the trunk giving me a small cargo van.

I don't believe anyone has done this. That's the kind of thing I'd do to an old car, not a brand new Versa.
