Give me the scoop on LSD's!!! What's better? 1.5 or 2way? What brand is the best? Is it Nismo, Cusco, Kaaz, or some other brand? I have a RPS13 and I'm wondering what would be best. I'm targeting autocross and drifting. HELP ME OUT!!!

Nismo is quieter than the KAAZ, but not as good unless you get the SSS LSD by Nismo. Haven't had the chance to try Cusco yet, but if their LSD quality is up to par with the rest of their suspension pieces, it should be top notch.

If you do not gas through turns, the 2 way will be an easy way to get intimate with a wall. The 1.5 way is more streetable.

i have driven/installed cusco lsd's. those things are heavy duty man. big beefy boogers! my rule is...if you are unsure which lsd to get, you need a 1.5 way. 2 way lsd's are hard to get used to(for me anyway). i mean, do you want to drift sometimes? or everywhere?

well I'm planning to run my car hard! but it's also my daily driver. Will changing the lsd change the street worthiness?

yes. Read my post about getting intimate with the wall again. I only know of one guy who uses a 2 way on the street but he also competes in drifting competitions and drives like a madman. If you are still learning to drive like a madman, I'd suggest going with the 1.5way and learning with that before stepping up to a 2 way. Little experience with the behavior of a 2way and your precious car will be kissing wall/guardrail/oncoming traffic out of a turn real quick.

But if you do decide to get a cusco lsd, I forget which one, I think it's the MZ you can switch two of the plates to get 1.5 or 2 way action with it. But if you buy it 2 way and feel it's too much for you and don't want to change the internals around, sell it to me. I'm looking for a cusco 2 way ha ha ha
