It finally quit raining here so i got to run a few passes on the local track to see what the red top would do. Not quite as good as i hoped for but good enough i was not dissapointed.

First race was against a Grand National. It was close my time [email protected] to his 14.2.

Second race a guy in a honda civic asks me to race him. I run a [email protected] missed a gear there shifted from 2nd to 5th and the honda 16.8@82 wasn't even close.

Third run against a 69' 70' mach 1 stang a good race. I run [email protected] to his 14.4.

Fourth run not sure what kind of car it was some kinda of all wheel drive turbo. Subaru Mitsubishi not sure. He left me off the line and i am like Sh_t. but when we hit third gear i blew bye him. [email protected] to his 15.1.

Last race for me against a heavily modded 90's chevy pick up on huge slicks. I can't even freakin here my car. I run a looseing [email protected] to his 12.78. If the track would have been longer i would have caught him. He left me off the line and i was reeling him in but run out of track.

Anyway thought i would share what happened last night. By the way all the above races my reaction time sucked it .8864 .8689 .9778 getting there though .5970 and .5714.

Next race tommorow street machines run what you bring. Gonna eat me some more v-8's i hope lol.

Not bad. How much boost?

As for you catching that truck, of course you would. Tall Gears will do that to any truck.

And about your R/T's, if you weren't bracket racing, they don't make any difference to your ET's.

Sorry was away for a few days.

The sr is bone stock except for hks fmic. .72 bar is what the boost peaked at reviewing the blitz-id. Probably running .7 bar flat because i have noticed almost no spiking.

I am pretty sure i can put down some 13's with new tires cause i am spinning all the way through second off the line. It finally hooks up in 3rd and really pulls hard.

Gonna hook up my s-afc this week and see if i can find somebody around here to help me tune it. If you know anybody with tuning experience around the houston area let me know so i can get in touch with them.

ThanksPhilip

I'm a total SR20DET Noob. I started browsing these forums when I went to a little get together and saw the ugliest looking 240 I have ever seen (completely stock, until you look under its hood) with a SR20DET in it.

And now I want one. So I joined these boards as part of my contingency plan. Right now I'm driving my 98 Maxima, not really racing but as far as four doors go it is plenty fast. If someone walks up to me and tells me he'll give me $10k for the car, or if the thing is totaled, I plan on getting a S13 (maybe an S14 if I can find one for under $6k) and doing suspension, breaks, and then doing an SR20DET swap and modifying it piece by piece beginning with an intercooler.

Is that kind of what you're doing Philip?

Batkeith you must have saw my car. lol

no i am building a race car. I just swapped the engine in and got it running to use the start up warranty. I will start building it for raceing soon as i decide what kinda racing i want to do with it.

You joined the best board imo. Anything you want or need to know can be found here with a little searching and alot of reading.

ever heard of autologic, or lightspeed...both do many sr swaps, and especially autologic does many many fast cars.
