??? KA24DE = 4 cylinder

RB20DET = 6 cylinder

How do you put 4 cylinder cams in a 6 cylinder engine?

(or are you joking?)

Your lack of traction is just bad driving .... Its call foot control you dont just stomp it from the get go......That is my .02 cents

My car bone stock with 225's in the back with a RB25DET on stock boost, FMIC and downpipe...went 12.8 @ 109 , with a 1.9 60 "

14.8 is nothing to be happy about regardless of 114 trap speed

Hey sillyRB, besides fmic and downpipe, what other modifications do you have that make your stock rb run 12.8s.

The car stock would hold about 10-11 psi....Just the basics....I had HKS air filter, 3 inch custom downpipe, HKS catback exhaust. Precision FMIC. And a little bit of timing

Theres no way... Night7 on some other forums said he was running 12.90s on a stock motor, but hearing it from more than half the people here they barely break mid 13s on a stock motor. I saw a S13 notch with an rb25det pull a front wheel at milan dragway for about 15 ft and then he ends up running a 14.4.... I say he missed a gear but either way alot of sr's are beating that time. can we see a vid of this 12.8 run with a "stock" rb25det?

I had a mines ECU....I dont have any vid......sorryIf you dont want to belive that is fine...but F-Y-I why lie about going 12.8 @109 that is NOT Fast.....lol1.9 60" stock wheels, 225 Nittos....NOT D/R.Look how low the mph is 109...NOT FASTfor every 1/10 of your 60" it is 2/10 - 3/10's of your 1/4 mile time.....

My car with stock turbo and 3" turboback went 13.8 @ 104 with a 2.1 60ft @ 10 psi of boost. I can beleive that you went 12.9 @ 109. Afterall R33's can go low 13's with upped boost + Exhaust. But some tuning is needed such as SAFC. I guess a mines ECU is capable of doing the job.

I'm just weary because alot of people are running slow as sr's on here. Crap I read in someones sig. that they went 13.0 with a T3/t04e turbo upgrade. I can believe that if you hooked Im going to be running 275 or 255 Micks Street ETs in the back of my hatch. Not trying to put you down or say that youre lying but the numbers of 1/4 mile times are all over the board from 14.8 to 12.8 thats a 2 second difference with the same motor. Kind of hard to believe anyone these days. Sorry if you took it the wrong way.-Alex

Was it at an Under the Lights event? If so that was me, I didnt miss a gear but I think my alt is bad because i get really bad belt squeel and it hangs up really bad, and on that run it was hanging up so i wasnt running more than maybe 5-6k through the gears. Was running a dail in at 13.6 that night with .77bar boost, filter and 3in exhaust. Cutting a 1.77 60ft I went 13.697 at 99.18 mph. Best run was 13.55 a week earlier with a 1.83 60ft. The car would be a little faster if i had a tach and subsiquently didnt short shift out of the gears, but 12.8 seems a little off for a stock RB25, but I guess anything is possible.

I posted it before but if anyone needs video proof of it go to http://www.mys13rb25.com and download the video. Save as, dont stream. Theres also a video of my random burnout.

Sadly not on street tires, 8in slicks on tear drop alloys, also diff is welded. In my defense though, ive only run the slicks for about 6 passes so it could probably be better, who knows. That and I need a tach.

In my rb25 series 2 in a 90 hatch, at 7psi i hit 14 flat, but i missed a gear, had a decent launch. i also had a small boost leak. I was told with tuning an rb25 can hit HIGH 12 or a consistant low 13. i also did that with street tires, normal pressure.

Yes SIR That is You! I was wondering what you had done to that damn thing my jaw dropped when I saw you yank the front wheel lol. Damn good 60ft. I hope I can get just a good of a 60" and try to get low 13's. 12.80s is almost impossible with a stock rb25.

USSil80 there ya go s13rb25 has a way fast 60" and still didn't break 12's. but I think strict is right. With some mods and tuning I'm sure we can get a rb25 to hit 12's. Thats whatmy goal is.

What do you guys think about 28" tall 275/50R15 in the back? I got some welds but I might go 255 instead cuz 275 is over kill. I'm going to be using MT's street ETs but I'm afraid they'll hit the rear quarters when it squats if i don't have a strong rear suspension.

well heck no one makes a drag radial or slick in 255/50R15 or just 255 in a 15" rim period. So its either 235s or 275s. If you can find some 255's I'll buy em right now. They make them in 255/50R16 and I found out by Steve that they are made just for mustangs so they don't nother making them in a 15" rim.

you can get a 8'' wide tire that about a 255 from what i understand and get a 8'' wide rim to hold it... some one check me but i think that might just work

Yeah you are right. I think thats what I'm going now unless I want to up to 16" and get the 255. What do you think? 255R16 or 235R15?-Alex

15.. the thing with slicks is the side wall ...it is better to have more so it can flatten out and give you more tire on the track..... iam going with a 15'' rim either a weld or bogart depding on who i pick up to sell at my shop

I'd go with welds since the enjuku car is already packed with bogart slicks and skinnies but it does look nice. You'll get alot more muscle in there wanting those welds too.-Alex

lol that would be awesome. My painter got some wheels and a gun (money too) for doing a paint job on a hopped up buick.

5 star american racing wheels with the rivets. oh man I am so getting some. They were 275/50R15 and I stuck them up to my S13 and it looked totally SICK. I can't wait to yank the wheels.
