Biggest impact on your performance over what Road & Track or Car and Drive measured 15 years ago, will be ...

DriverTiresplugsknock sensorselevation to sea leveletc

If you run sub 16's (unless you're an experienced 1/4 mile driver) be happy and work to improve from there.

I did 6 runs, all between 16.0 and 16.2 That is with the NICO ECU. I would love to be in the high 14's.

A new transmission will make a huge dirrerence. The TC stall speed is about 1400 RPM. a firmer shift between gears will make a difference too. I think a new transmission and a high stall converter will trim at least 1 full second off my times.

Of course, it was in the 90's when I ran, and I had driven over 200 miles that day. The under hood temps were in the 130's.
