not sure if that is good place for such questions, but you have to put normal slicks on, designed for dragracing. With high and soft sidewall; also many say that bias-ply are better for manual cars.Look at smth. like Mickey Thompson ET Streets or ET Drags (not radials!)Here is what they have in 13", for examplehttp://store.summitracing.com/...93326

First time ever at the track tonight.

Set up:

CA18DETGT2871R .86 a/r550cc's, Z32 MAF, ROM tune20 PSIstock open diffstreet tires

First run:R/T 1.0758 (HORRIBLE!!)1/4ET: 14.9294MPH: 100.25

Lost to a Fiero with a 305 V8 by .1078 seconds

Second Run:R/T: .6914 (much better)1/4ET: 15.2090MPH: 95.64

Went to shift into 4th and accidentally hit 2nd right before the finish line. Talk about scarry. Lost to a new Silverado SS with a supercharger by .3913 seconds

Third and last run:R/T: .75671/4ET: 15.4519MPH: 98.79

The car kept getting slower and slower, i must have created a boost leak too, as my PSI kept going down. There will be another attempt in the future. I was told my high MPH means i should be in the mid 13's. So we'll see.

For my first time at the strip I managed at best of 15.8. I had alot of trouble with the launches and with this time, i spun in 1st and missed 2nd, so I could still get a little better. In my defense, it was my first time at the strip and the car isn't built for drag lol. But it was fun as hell.

Just went to the track yesterday. Im car #1.

CA18DET stock internals
Full Interior
VLSD on its way out
17x9 Square Wheels with Riken Raptor 225/45R17 tires @ ~40psi
BB T28 from S15 set @ 10psi

after a few practice runs, turning the boost up and getting a decent launch where I still spun off the line here is the slip.

I think with lower tire pressure and a better launch I could hit 14.2-14.4 but I am very pleased with how I did.
