1/4 mile time/ true time

There is a lot of talk about 1/4 mile time here. keep in mind when car markers go to the track to test thay do not add in r/t ,60ft or 1/8 mile time. time and speed start when the car starts to move. case in point.i have a 1974 260z with side draft weber carbs 2.5 ext p&p head with a 3.56 diff 5 speed trans 1/4 time raceing for comp was 16.7 sec drop the a/t and now its 15.4 sec.dorp in my 4 speed trans and 3.90 diff. now comp time is 15.1. drop the a/t and it drops to 14.2 sec.keep in mind when you are on the street and drop the hamer on the car next to you.there is no timer. (the 260z has 170 hp and is 29 years old):ylsuper :rockon
