I'd say anywhere from low 13s to high 14s depending on tuning, condition, tires, altitude, driver ability, etc.

well...there is no doubt you will love the 240 after stepping up from a honda. even the SR doesn't shine on the quarter mile though, and it seems you want a fast car. the s14s are beauties, i know you want one just from looking at them. :) go test drive one...see if you like it.

ive test drove one the other day...i liked it...it just needed to be faster and the swap will take care of that.....i just wanna turbo car to werk on....it doesnt have to be a 12 second car...just decently quick.....i asked the 1/4 mile question just to see where i would be starting from as apposed to where i was with honda....so im still uncertain...mid to high 14s completely stock?

dude stfu...you dont even know what ur talking about.....u think by me saying i drive a honda that i had a wing and neons and stuff? FYI it had a VIS cf lip, oem fogs, 15" black rotas with Falken azenis and a LS swap if u really wanna know. Looked a hell of a lot nicer than that thing in ur sig

and lets try and stay on the topic seeing as i still havent got a decent answer to question i started this thread with.

S15s are the best. You will learn that if you start researching the 240/Siliva cars. There is one thing you will also learn about these cars you can't just put on a air fliter and exhaust and then boost for the skys. Fuel and cooling plays a big part. You will be fats if you do a good amount of mods. I have a S14 with a S13 Blacktop SR and have all the basic mods like FMIC, 80mm full exhaust, fuel pump, etc. etc. Just to let you know it will cost you. I have spent probably 15000+ at least without labor costs because I did it. So be ready to pay if you want it to be a fast reliable car.

and i didnt mean that i thought just sticking on i/e will put me in the 12s....i just mean mods are more effective with turbo engines as apposed to N/A engines

Cartest 2000 puts you at 14.3 at sea-level given a curb weight of 2850lbs (how much you weigh lol?) and 185whp.

lmao, so much honda hating.:rolleyes

What do you plan on running boost at? Telling us you want a boost controller doesn't really help.

For $15 g's, that's actually a good amount of toys (w/car)! Very cool...

Being from South Jersey is an excuse that can only be used for so many stupid comments...don't go over your limit. Good job bashing the new guy:rolleyes .

Travis, don't want to be a ****, but try searching, this topic has been discussed a million times. I've seen people run low 15s, which is really possible with "stock everything". It depends on you, the driver.

And Travis, just so you know an S15 (stock) looks far better than some little Honda hatchback, ANY Honda hatchback. I find it counterproductive for you to say you want a Nissan, yet are calling one ugly...makes one wonder why you want a 240sx.

Wow, there's an original idea, going from a Honda to a 240 and immediately wanting to do that uber ph4t, JDM tyte sr20 swap, y0. Not really Honda-hating but maybe, I don't know, do some research for yourself and explore other options instead of doing what SCC Magazine tells you is cool?Good luck either way...and did you not have insurance?

P.S. - I can't think of any Honda I know of that looks anywhere near as sexy as an S15, even all the rice mags know it. Just look at every other cover from the past 9 months since this big flock to 240s thing started...

You guys are doing a lot of noob bashing. New people to the board don't detect sarcasm in a post. It just comes across as rude. Just because he came from the Honda camp doesn't mean he's a ricer.

Like Apexi already said... Use the search button before asking any questions because the topic may have already been posted.

Welcome to the forum, welcome to the Nissan 240.

I know that the swap potential is what really drew me to the 240. I haven't done it yet because of financial reasons. Make sure you save your money and do it right the first time. That's just my two cents.

Travis,

Use the Search button. It's in the upper right hand corner of the screen. I bet that once I get done with this reply, I'm still going to be able to read the "SR20's, Post your track times!@#!" thread that has been going for about a month.

I agree with the rest of the guys. Get another Honda. You want a turbo motor to play with? Slap a turbo on a B18C.

Well I think that those Integras and Civics look look cool if not better than S15s in the front end anyway that is. When they have the S15 front end on them. :D Just joking.
