Hi, Anyone here ever replace the rear 1/4 glass in a 240 coupe? I bought a pulled piece of glass, and all of the plastic tabs are broken(these are the ones fastened with the rubber). The metal tabs, which are mounted directly to the glass, are intact. Are the above mentioned plastic tabs replacable? Can I source these OEM?

Also, can I purchass a seal kit specifically for this glass, or do I have to use a general purpose seal?(like from the auto parts store) I'd like to retain a clean stock look to the window. Any success or failure stories regarding this glass?

Thanks, any input appreciated!-Jamie

You can do it yourself, but it's a whore of a job to do. I was looking into doing the job myself on my hatch but decided against it and get a pro with the tools to do it. Found a local shop that'd cut em out and pop on the new windows for 70 a window.

The moulding and sealant can be had from dealership. The moulding kit I got from the dealership for 55 a side, comes with moulding, and the black sealant. My guess is that the coupe's kit is a bit cheaper but probably not by much.

Othewise if you're going to try the job yourself, might want to look at the project 180 on raretrick, there's a blurb about how to do the job with guitar string
