First let me say that I could definitely feel the extra strength in Robert's ECU especially around 7,000rpms...the damn car hauls butt and his ECU probably saved the day for what could have been embarassing higher ET's.

I’m sure “da Beast” is already sub 14 second capable. The tranny is just thirsty for its synthetic fluid. And the torque multiplication with Robert's Super ECU and 4.08 gearing is enough as you said to cause tire slip in and beyond the first 60 feet of the runs.
rsiwicki wrote: I did have trouble with the launch and tire sliping. I let air down to 24psi in the rears which helped, but not enough. The cooler weather I have been having trouble hooking up the rear properly with the 4.08 from stoplights. I can feel the back end breaking traction as I somewhat ease into the throttle (if I hamer the throttle there is no hope) and believe it or now when I hit around 3,000 to 5,000rpms I can really start to feel the tires slip and I could feel this on every run. The car was hooking up somewhat decently at the line, but at I pushed harder on the pedal you could feel the tires slip midway down the first 60' mark (probably 15~20mph) which was really bad when I did my 14.7 run...I almost lighted up the whole back end in smoke from hammering it too fast midway down the 60' line.

The 275/40/18 Kumho Ectsa MX has a treadwear rating of 220 which is pretty low but a tire with an even lower treadwear number tire may help in the cooler weather.
But even with 3.54 gearing, sticky 15" tires on the lightweight BBSs, and Robert's ECU, you may have still experienced some tire slip as your Q is likely the most powerful NA 90-95 with no internal mods in the country. But hopefully not so much to keep you out of the 13.XXX range. And the 3.54 would eliminate that extra shift before the end of the run.
Basically a good 60 foot and crossing the lights beford reaching redline in second gear should produce a 13.999 or better 1/4 mile for your Q.

Mustang Cobra based 32 valve NA engine, plus extensive aftermartket support, equals a great number of possiblites.

Rob, you are truly an asset to the NICO Q-munity
Thank you for your efforts
