anyone try the 1/2" spacer on their M's? i keep hearing that the 5/16" is the way to go because the tower brace and clearances but the last time I looked under my hood I noticed I don't have a brace. The 1/2" is claimed to provide a little bit more power over the 5/16 and if it fits under the hood might as well go for the most bang for the money it it fits right? so fellas I'm all ears....

the rule of thumb that I learned was that the 1/2" spacer is used for F/I applications (turbo/supercharged) whereas the 5/16" spacer is for N/A applications. The 5/16 spacer will provide more usable power throughout the powerband with an emphasis at the mid range power/torque curve. The 1/2 spacer will provide more power up top on the powerband.

I don't believe you will be able to use the engine cover with the 1/2 spacer...
