09 Versa 1.6 service engine light on, thermostat code. Dealer reset. Light came on again. Dealer replaced coolant temperature sensor. Light came on again. Nissan told dealer this is happening on this model in northern cold weather states. Dealer now being told to replace thermostat and coolant. Will they replace with an updated part or the same thing? Anyone else have this problem?

Nope. no TSb for the thermostat code. Usually , thermostat will fix it.

I think this is the first 1.6l thread... what do you think of your 1.6? I've never seen one in person.

For a cheap car it's quite comfortable, spacious and drives nice, however it is difficult to develop a fondness for a brand new car that will be going back to the shop for the fifth time in the six weeks that i have owned it.
