Since it's been winter the hydraulic lifters on the tailgate need help (a push) going all the way up. They get up about 3/4 the way and then the tailgate door needs a push to get it fully open. It's a manual lift door. During the summer the lifts would go up all the way without extra help. I'm wondering if the hydraulics are being affected by the cold temperature or maybe they just wore out sooner than normal? Only 6600 mi on my Murano!

Since I'm taking the vehicle in tomorrow for service on the floor vents I'm having the dealer look at this issue too. They better not tell me it's weather related because other vehicles we've owned that had lift gates never had problems in the winter.

This is probably too late but I have an '04 and have had to have mine changed due to not lifting the gate properly. The new ones work great, no problems even in cold weather.

Dealership told me there was nothing wrong with them while saying they found no gas leaks in the cylinders.
