Completely out of nowhere, car will start but not stay running.
Battery's in fob are good, still replaced, I can before battery change on fobs, lock and unlock the car and activate alarm via the fob and shut it off...the car will turn over but not stay running. If I use just the key and leave fob in garage I get the red key icon, if I have the fob I get the green Key icon. but im always getting a red square of the car with the key by the Trip odometer changing button..
The key will unlock and lock the car, but still wont stay running. Ive detached the battery for 10 minutes both positive and negative terminals...still wont stay running, left the key on waited 10 mins and still same results. Ive never seen this red lower car icon with the Key. Owners manuals says its the Alarm system..Ive even taken the fob off my key ring and use just that in case any interference....

Anyone have any ideals and how to easily fix with out a tow and dealer charge its a used car purchased from my family who is a used car dealer. Hes even stumped, he seems to think its the alarm/fob issue but tried everything he said that I found on line and google and youtube...

How tf did she not see that? Did you taught her what gas normal vehicles use? However, your engine might be fine, you just need to remove all of the Diesel and fill it up with 87. But also, do a thorough check if anything got screwed.

Here is what you need to do when you put diesel in a gas car.

Hopefully it all works out for you apmastroianni1 and doesn't cost too much

I think I lucked out big time...Used a drill drain hose, cleaned the tank...put fresh gas in, forced the rest out got it going...put Seafoam in Engine block and tank, took it up and down the highway a lot about 100 miles, pull the battery leads, reset the computer multiple misfire code, started right up this morning no problem and again from when I came home from work...I lucked out Big time.

Just for hahas, I never touched a diesel pump in 50 years, So I put it in the fill hose, it fits, but dosn't go down the fill tube....

She was told multiple times by me and my wife not to put diesel in, I used many Italian youth-fanisms on what it does to the car......so much for 19year old listening....she gets a daily reminder now....

Tell her not to go to the combo gas diesel islands, that way she won’t have to worry about putting in the wrong fuel, and those of us who do use diesel and might only have 2 islands out of 10 to choose from will be able to get to a diesel pump easier?

I'm pretty sure most gas stations has diesel colored as green... that's what i see around in the Orlando and Miami area. Not sure how you get that mixed up lol.

And if you have costco, they don't even have diesel if I can recall, so no mixing up there too, other than putting Premium into a regular unleaded car :D
