09 Rogue Won't Start

Hi everyone,

I've been having the problem where I attempt to turn the car on and nothing happens; all dash lights are off as well as interior lights, dead silence as I attempt to start the car. To fix the problem once, I locked/unlocked the car using the key while I was sitting in the driver seat; the car turned on, but the clock, trip odometer, and radio pre-sets all resetted. Another time, I locked/unlocked the doors using the control on driver door; again car started but the previously mentioned items before all reset. I do notice that every time I sit in the car, the red key symbol flashes. Any assistance would be appreicated.

Are you still using the original battery in the car? I would have that checked. Almost any auto parts store will do it for free.

Also, maybe the battery in your fob needs to be changed. You didn't say if you try and start the car with the key or without it.

Original battery, yes.

I can only start the car with the key fob; I had the problem with both key fobs. I did think of having the batteries in the fobs replaced and the battery in the car checked, but the whole reset issue has me at a loss.

its your battery....I had mine replaced today. 4years old.
