Got a code PO715 and P1778 on my wife's 09 rogue. It has been 100% trouble free since we bought it used with 19,000 miles now has 139,000 When the SES light came on se said it wouldn't go above 40 MPH, but I was able to clear the codes and the car seemed fine to me after that and has not done anything weird so far today.

I was hoping it was the just VSS (CODE PO715) what is everone elses experiance with these codes? keeping my finger crossed I dont have to put a $3500 trans in a $5000 car.

Also if I do a trans swap, do I have to remove the engine as well? How does that work on these Rogues?

Thanks

cut your losses and dump this car before more issues come out. its nearing the mileage where a nissan needs to be off-loaded (unless you're fine with putting parts into an aging car). these are not the nissans of the old days when you could get 200k trouble miles.

I hate CVT trans. im got to change the input speed sensor and hope for the best. The car has been fine yesterday and today so im thinking its a intermittent problem with the sensor going bad. We owe too much on it now to trade it. Next year around this time we will probably trade it.

Our goal was to have no car payments,
