Occasionally when i turn my fan on, there is a noise that gets louder as i turn the fan speed up. Almost sounds like its off balance....any ideas?

Possibly the bearings are going bad.

I'm sure you have it fixed by now but I had the same issue with my rogue. Figured I'd post to save others the headache of dealer cost or pulling the blower motor.

The cause was a little mouse nest in the fan of the blower motor. I kinda thought this was the issue as I live in the county in a gravel driveway. Here is the easiest way to get at it.

Remove the glove box and the housing to the glove box. (It's pretty simple. Just a few screws and one wire harness.) after that in the glove box hole up and to the left you will see a white plastic housing with louvers in it.

The cover to that is held on by a screw and two clips. Unbuckle the clips and you should see what looks like a foam filter. Click your car on and turn the ac on and to max. That flap will open. Shut your car back off and using a flashlight you'll see the fans of the motor.

This is where I ran into the mouses nest. I used a wand on a vacuume and sucked it out of there. Then the noise was gone.
