Help 09Nissan versa trunk release on trunk lid does not work

I can open the trunk lid with the key, but the electrical trunk release button on the trunk itself quit working. I have checked the solenoid, traced the wires, checked all fuses, etc. I am at a loss as to why it doesn't work by pushing the button.
