I recently purchased the HDD Nav system for the '08-'09 model M35. I own a '07 Infiniti M35. I've installed the new system and found that the Displays is scrambled whenever I turn on the system. 4 Questions:

*Is there anyone out there who has tried this?

*Any ideas on the Cause/Fix?

*Will installing the Touchscreen Display fix this problem? if so...

*What is the Name and Model # for the '09 Infiniti M35 Touchscreen Display?

Thanks in advance... :gotme

Welcome to NICO. I haven't tried what you are attempting, but there are some really knowledgeable members on here who should be able to help you out, so I'm bumping the thread.

Regarding the model number (if you mean Infiniti OEM part number), you could always call the parts desk at your local Infiniti dealer and then do a google search for that part number to comparison shop. From what I've seen, it's sold as a kit rather than itemized.

The 09 NAV system is not just a HD system. It requires interface with a touch screen that the 078 model didn't have. Knowing Infiniti, it probably will not work unless you also add the 09 screen and possibly even the multi-switch (the black panel containing the air/con, NAV, display buttons). If I am correct (and i may NOT be), even after doing this, the multi-switch panel will illuminate in blue-white instead of amber and will not match the rest of the dash.
