When I went car shopping this time around I was more concerned with interior styling, comfort, and toys rather and than exterior looks. I went to the car show and after sampling just about everything I chose the Murano.

As far as the exterior goes I liked everything, but the front grill gave me pause. It looks kind of like an alien with a hot butterknife designed it. After four months It's starting to grow on me, but I must say that If I hadn't leased the vehicle I'd consider a mesh grill. (my mother in law says the car looks mean )

I was just wondering what other Murano owners think?

With the introduction of the Murano back in 2003 (?) I thought I had found the next car for me... I wanted to like it, but that "toothy" grill and somewhat shaky dash just didn't do it for me. I went with the Pathfinder instead. With the '09, it's another ballgame altogether! I wouldn't call the new front end mean, but a bit more aggressive in style and the interior is a great!

Mine is a graphite/black leather LE with dual moon roof and nav. Mileage is about 15mpg in stop and go local traffic and 25mpg on the highway.

I will also add this to your post: I personally think the new '09 grille looks A LOT better than the previous model's grille, of course that is my opinion.

The front end is definitely growing on me. At first I thought it was just ok. I can definitely see where the mother in law is coming from. The grille makes me think of a street fighter because with a grille like that, it seems like the MO would always be the vehicle trying to start fights on the street.

As an aside, the interior and its features sold me too. Exterior styling is much less of a concern when so many other vehicles seem to have "me too" styling.

The front grille gave me the feel of something out of the HALO series video game.... I like it..... but I guess a lot of other people don't and then I laugh when they say the highlander or prius or new dodges or jeeps look good/better.....

the only thing I don't like is how much the hyundai santa fe looks like the 09 from the back.....
