No wonder I can't seem to find a decent deal on one. Inventory seems to be low and dealers won't even come close to selling at invoice in my area. In fact, 2 of the 4 local dealers didn't even response to my request for internet quotes. I guess I don't love the Murano enough to pay a premium for one, so there's a pretty good chance I'll go in a different direction. I was going to hand my Pathfinder down to my son and get something new for myself, but I may just get him a used sedan and keep driving the Pathfinder myself for a few more years. Or go with a different crossover.

Suggest you keep trying. We're very impressed with our Murano, and that's after being diehard Lexus owners for many, many years. It's worth the search and the wait!

The problem is that I don't need an additional vehicle until my daughter returns for Thanksgiving break and I could easily hold off until Christmas. So I'm not willing to settle for decent deal - I need a compelling deal to get me off the sidelines. On the other hand, my work schedule is such that I will have little or no time to shop and negotiate in October and November, so if I don't get a deal done by 9/30 I may not be back in the game until December. The '09s might be all but gone by then and I'll be back trying to negotiate for a 2010 in short supply. Driving my Pathfinder and buying a used compact sedan for my kids is looking like the better option right now. I hate having these kinds of things hanging over my head.
