So I was at the dealership the other day getting some work done and I sat in the Maxima and realized how much I loved the steering wheel, do you guys think it's possible to do a swap? It has all the same controls on it, plus it also has paddle shifters....I'm sure it can be possible but how difficult of a job would it be?? God it would look so beautiful! It has red stitching plus its smaller, automated AND heated! Just imagine!!

theres already a thread about this. What the conclusion of the thread was is that if you want to spend $1000+(because of the airbag) on a new steering wheel, go ahead. Even if you did spend the $1000+ on it, we're not even sure that it would actually work.

Hahaha this is my old thread!

Nah, you can't get it done by the dealer or in a manner that would be safe - the airbags #'s for each car are different, and doing a swap could cause a potential hazard where the airbag would not deploy or could deploy randomly and cause a huge hazard.

But I agree with you, the new Maxima's steering wheel is sexy - i really wanted it too
