09 m35 upgrades

Ok so i got a pretty good idea, but i just wanted to make sure. I can't seem to find any information on google. Does anyone have an M35 with a cai? What should i look for? Its my assumption that s long as its the vq35hr compatible itll work right? I mean i can find stuff all day for that engine just not the M35. I'd think that if the cai is ment fake the vq35hr with most those engine bay's being identical it wouldn't take much right? Please any advice links etc. Personal experiences like gains from said cai. I've also been looking at superchargers etc. But any help would be really awesome thank you!

I don't see why it wouldn't work, but I would let someone who has that engine chime in as I had the older M35.

I have an 09 as well. I considered adding a CAI. They definitely look brilliant, but do pretty much nothing else unless you also do an uprev and I want to keep my engine at factory settings.
Also, you have to consider that the cost of adding a CAI will be significantly more than the regular VQ35 engine because our HR engines have left and right intakes so you will need two instead of one. For me, it seemed too much expense for little or no performance change and I am the only one who sees my engine bay.
That said, if you are willing to accept the expense and pay for an uprev, I am sure you will be very pleased with the way your car will perform!
If you do a search in the forum there are some posts about CAI to give you a little more info.
Also, if you do this, there is an unwritten law that you MUST post pictures so we can oogle at the results!

Of course ill post some pictures. For me the cost isn't something to worry about. My lady dais she'd get me acting i wanted for my b-day and here i am haha. I found several different intakes for the vq35hr. It just so happens several of the 350z models have that exact engine. So expensive yes since there are 2. But a gorgeous look and sound itll make right? Ill have to google uprev not sure what that is. But i got enough for a set of performance rotors and pads and then sumin else in the 500$ range. What about the plastic manifold. How does that hold up to nos? I figure itll probably take me a hear to save for a supercharger. Found one for that engine to. These are some ideas. If someone has some links to cai or anything else. Plz share, nothing makes me more butthurry then ordering a pay for it to only be the wrong thing and having to send it back waiting a total of like 3 weeks to get the right thing on there lol. It won't let me post any of the linked to things I've found. I honestly just been searching the 350z engine performnce parts. Just making sure to put the vq35hr. As of right now my M has Eibach Lowering Kit, Stillen Catback Exhaust System, APRacing Front Big Brake Kit, and APRacing Rear Slotted and Drilled Rotors as well as Goodridge Stainless Steel Brakeline Kit, Concept One 20" RS-8 Rims with Nitto Tires, and DCsports Dual Short Ram Air Intake Kit. Have not had an uprev done yet but wanting to but need some information on exactly how to get one done???? any info would be great. Here are a few things I am wanting to install on the car in the near future.

* Megan Racing Engine Mount 3 pcs set
* Stillen Engine Damper Brace
* STILLEN SETRAB Oil Cooler Kit
* Borla Stainless Steel Headers
* Z1 VQ35HR Intake Plenum Power Mod

Hey man if i give you my email can you give me links to the mods you have? Other then the brakes i got mine picked out. You should check out the YouTube channel i think its called engineering explained. You should get rotors with only slotted or just vented those drilled and slotted are actually not very good. Butt it looks like you got some pretty good stuff so id really like to check that stuff out. Abby info you could give like gains etc would be awesome! Lemme know sumin please!

As far as the slotted and drilled rotors I have not had any issues they have done great compared to the drilled ones I had especially on the track. Yea shoot me your email and I will be happy to send you the links

[email protected] thanks man! Didn't man any disrespect. They shouldn't have any issue he explained the math, and it really just came down to service life and temps. It sucked cause a lot of really good looking rotors are drilled and slotted. You can send some pics of your m35 to if ya want. I got a lot of plans for mine. Pain to find parts that'll actually do some performance gains Gonna do some really nice light work. Found a supercharger but that'll probably be a year or 2 away.

Thanks yo! I got a god amount of work to do before i post anything. She's in the early stages of my imagination. I get jelly of myself lol. This one compliant does finance though.
