Any one on here have any luck with Infiniti getting them to repair if not the first owner?

Has anyone found a good way to touch up/ repair this damage?

Thanks

Unfortunately Infiniti left the M owners holding the bag on that matter.

I'll have to look this up to find the exact thread, but if you would, look up posts by a member called Larz. IIRC, he reports successfully rewraping the dash.

INFINITI told me to kick rocks on the issue, so I covered mine in suede.

Yes. Infiniti declined to spend a million dollars to commission, distribute, and install new dashes in cars that are nearly 10 years old. Can anyone blame them? I agree that they could have and SHOULD have used higher quality materials in cars of this price range, but they did not. They, like any car maker aside from Bentley, Rolls, etc decided to roll the dice, hoping no problems occurred until the warranty ran out. You can order a new OEM dash ($1300 back when mine went titz-up) and either install yourself or pay them hourly to do it.
OR ...
You can do what a few of us have done and re-cover it yourself. Looks much much harder than it really is:

The cracks in mine were fairly shallow and not very long, so the 3M leather and vinyl repair kit (got it at AutoZone but Amazon stocks it too) did the trick. I had to spray some dullcote on a piece of plastic, then use a small brush to dab a bit over the final repair, just to knock down the shine to match the satin finish of the factory material. But for $20 and about an hour of labor, I can barely notice.

The cracking/bubblibg dashboard was a common problem with the late model Infiniti's. Most likely due to the mediocre composite the dash made from. Infiniti only provided a good will warranty to FX owners that experienced dash cracking/bubbling. There are folks out there that can professionally repair dashboards with OEM like results if you're interested in taking that route.

I would definitely take that route if I knew of a professional repair shop where I live (McAllen Tx) my M35 dashboard wasn't too bad before my local Infiniti dealer replaced the passenger airbag cause of the recall, they had to take the whole dash out to perform the replacement. Now my dash looks like crap, thankfully my dealer is looking into a solution.

My dash looks like a dry lake-bed.
