Ok so at this point I need advice. One should I wait to do a dunno until after I've install Cai, headers, and cat back. Or is it a ok thing to do just after the Cai. Cause money is tight so it takes me awhile if savings for these things. So it's either very a dyno or she longer nd get the headers n exhaust. Which by the way does anyone have any links to a good system? Thanks for the replies.

That was tough to read in all honesty, but I guess you're asking about waiting to tune vs doing it now.

I say wait if money is tight.

My bad sometimes I forget to read it over when I use my phone for forums stupid autocorrect lol. But this is what I ment. Should I wait to do a dyno until after I've installed Cai, headers, and cat back. Or is it a better idea to do just after the Cai. money is a lil tight so it takes me awhile to save for these things. So it's either do a dyno and wait longer to get the headers n exhaust . Or I can get a Cai and dyno. So it's kinda I can get 2 of them done now but not all of it. I found a place that'll do the dyno for a flat rate of 600. And I have literally enough for the dyno and Cai or Cai and headers and cat back.

Yeah, tough choices and we don't get too many members here who go to the dyno, except maybe people that get UpRev tunes.

Personally, I would do a dyno before and after every modification to know exactly what each adds, but this is wishful thinking.
Check the 350z & G35 forums as well, to see if there's any tried-&-tested way of going about this

Roger that I'm kinda iffy on a Cai anyways. At least with the way these are set up. Ima see if they can run a test before and after for 600.

First I have to say that based on my research, any CAI does little to no improvement in performance. It just looks brilliant under the hood.
That being said, if you do an uprev, plenum, exhaust upgrade AND the CAI, you get noticeable improvement.
I say do a dyno with NO mods, then a final dyno with ALL mods completed. To do a dyno after the CAI alone, you will pay lots of cash to confirm that already spent lots of cash on a CAI that did very little.
Mind you, I think a CAI looks brilliant and if they didn't charge so much money for little or no results I would have it. The high cost, the fact that nobody sees my engine but me, and the fact that I do not want any uprev, etc keeps me from buying one.
Here are two vids that document the improvement of adding a CAI:

Kinda what I was thinking to. Just wanted more opinions on it. The plenum you talking about the Intake manifold plenum?you wouldn't happen to have a link to what it is I need would you? The thing I was considering on the Cai for that is where the engine is actually pulling its air from. I means it's right there at the front of the vehicle. So it's really already getting the coolest air possible. I watched this one video where the guy wrapped his intakes in heat resistant wrap. So the air that passed from the front of the engine stayed the same temp. A few people tried it and noticed a difference. Ive wtched a few videos with stock to Cai. And the most gain they got from just that mod alone was 3 hp. Which isn't bad if you're trying to squeeze every pony you can out of it. But that being said that was a completly different car and most of the others lost 8-10 hp from adding a Cai. I'm wondering pretty heavy about that heat wrap lol. The guy I talked to for the dyno does do the up rev. 500-600 flat rate,Using the Osiris. I was pretty happy to hear that cause most places is an all day job. At 120 an hour. This is a list I've gotten so far of parts that'll work. Pulleys. A few different camshafts. Though not sure what would be the best option for that. Headers, exhaust, the uprev, supercharger, but that's probably gonna be a good while as it is not cheap. Id like it better if someone that had these mods had links but it doesn't seem like anyone really does. So I'm forced to guess but just searching for Vq35hr performnce parts. I pretty confused about it all at this point. And no one at performnce shops really have an idea. They just kinda sound like they don't wanna do nothing. Idk if it clicks with them is the same engine as a g35 2009 or some years of the 350z. And sry those videos didn't work on my end.
