I recently replaced my outside non working driver handle request switch simply because I wanted it to work, when I purchased the car last fall the original request switch did not work. I found a silver one on Ebay and my car is the silver/blue color. I tried removing the two screws from my old handle to be able to change out just the request switch to keep my handle color and it was impossible so I installed the silver one and will paint it. It was fairly hard for this old guy to do since having a spinal operation last December but I got it completed and can now lock the car with the driver side request button.
