It does not sound normal. It would be better if you posted a picture.

Sometimes if a rock or something else gets wedged between the rotor and the pad it will cause it, or a defect in the pad.

Only way to fix it would be to replace the pad and rotor, or fix the rotor like they did and replace the pad. I am curious why they did not replace the pad in the first place. Kinda stupid.. lol

Well first it was vibration when i stop at a high speed i brought it to the dealer and they shaved off and inch on my rotor, i asked them is that normal for a 20,000 mile car, and they told me it happens...i was like wtf! then a week later i heard a clink noise when i turned so i went back to work and looked at my wheel i saw a deep line in my rotor, i asked them if a rock got wedge inside the pad and rotor, they told me no it just a hard spot on my pad and it will even out, i think they dont want to do any work on it cuz its still under warrantee.

I sometimes brake hard cuz i live where there not alot of street lights, so sometimes it hard to calucate where the turns are and brake hard, but i never had this problem before. I thought the warrantee covers rotor pads etc....under a certain mile on a car, like mine it's only have 20,000 miles on it.
