Does anyone predict that the 2010 model will have some major re-hauls that kick tail? (Like maybe a higher output V6, more aggressive front and rear of car, etc).

Or should a potential buyer just for the `09?

thx!

Well, since the 2010 doesn't come out for another year, I imagine you should buy an 09 if your like the car

If I had to venture a guess, I would say "no". Looking at Nissan's past schedule of generational changes for the Altima, the next major overhaul probably won't come until at least 2012. And that is only if the sales of this vehicle warrant a new generation to be made.

I suppose it would be possible for them to create a re-tuned version or do some major overhaul to the front grille, but these things cost money to research and implement. It's easier for them to just wait until the next generation to make major changes.

Also, in this time of high gas prices, releasing a faster, less gas-friendly car is probably not the best of ideas. You would be best served to buy one and mod it.

Increasing horsepower doesnt necessarily mean decreasing MPG. Its all in technology baby!

I did read an article saying in if the sales of the coupe stay strong, in 2010 they may introduce a Altima Coupe Convertible. I don't know if there is any truth behind that but its what I read. It did not specify if it was a hard-top or soft-top, but a hard-top would be amazing.
