I have an 08 Versa SL Sports Pkg. and at 48k my mileage for the last 10k is 32.5 mpg combined and life time is 33.7 mpg combined.

Slow starts getting up to speed works best with the CVT transmission.

My best tank was 41.3 mpg driving on the hyw between Dallas TX and Montgomery AL. My worst was 28 in city driving in Washington DC.

I've gotten pretty consistent results with my two Versa's, although both give the same s-curve on a graph with better mileage in the summer. Easy take-offs and easy, anticipated stops make the difference for me. Going up some of the steep grades around here make me have to go up to 3500rpm, but since on a flat road it'll hold 60mph at 2000rpm and 75mph at 2500rpm, there's rarely a need to get above 2500rpm even coming out of a stoplight. (And, of course, I don't live in NYC or LA, but neither do you.)

I've an 09 S 1.8 manual with only 1,800 miles on it, I just bought it in late October. So far mostly city driving back and forth to work. At lowest I've got 27mpg and highest 30mpg so far. Which is decent enough considering there's a decent bit of stopping and starting before I can get clear that I'm still quite rusty when it comes to actually driving again lol plus I use the A/C here a lot.

My car is a 09 HB with a reg auto. Best I've gotten is 29 mpg with 90% interstate driving. I have bout 4k on it now. Is it normal for my car to be reading 3k on the tach when I'm driving about 75 mph. Saw the guys post above me that says his runs at 25k on his tach at the same speed.

I have about 14k on my 4-speed auto and get about 32-33 with mostly 55mph driving. I'm probably 75% 55mph+ and 25% city driving. Your mileage will tend to get a little better based on what I have seen from posts over he last year.

PaulRay, I also turn about 3k rpm at 70mph. That's normal for an auto. A 6-spd manual may turn less rpms because of the gearing difference.

I've got an SL, and yes, it does run at lower rpm and that helps give better mileage. The manual actually runs at higher rpm than the CVT or the auto!

We get about 32mpg average on every tank in our 09 1.8...Best tank was 34 and worst was 29.....that was the last tank in stop and go traffic in freezing temperatures in the mountains of Gatlinburg! Still awesome in my opinion

I'm averaging 24.5 mpg since a few weeks. No city driving at all. No red lights. Only 2000rpm driving.

Going to dealership with it next week. lol

Wow, I get about 27 mpg combined. Probably about even 50/50 city/highway. I just occasionally get frustrated and slam on the pedal to cut someone off

This tank I've just hit a record 35, coasting on cruise control, 75 mpg at about 2500 rpm mostly freeways

I've still been getting crappy MPGs. The best I got was 31-33 MPG on the freeway, but city driving sucks around 24 MPG.
