Hi guys
I tried searching only coming up with dozens of unrelated threads - so here it goes.
Does anyone know if there is a known problem with Versas ours is a 08 and it seems that after a couple of hours it takes 8-10 seconds of cranking to actually start ?

overall it is driving nicely and getting great MPG. Just wondering if the net has anything buzzing around ?
thanks

Yes there is a known problem with Versa's having a hard time to start.
It might be your Fuel Pressure Regulator. I had mine replaced in 2009 under warranty.

I just had that problem fixed it was the fuel pump regulator. I'm not the only preson that has had this problem.

When the fuel pump regulator is defective. The starting problem is it intermittent ? or you have a problem every the time you start the car?

Thx!

My 2009 has 14500 miles and the starting is intermittent and worse in hot weather. I have not made an appointment to get the fuel pressure regulator replaced as of yet and I just filled the tank today so I will wait until I get below 1/2 tank.

I had to have my fuel pump regulator done twice now, the problem was intermittent for me as well. Not a real difficult fix, but a PIA because the closest dealer is an hour away from me.
