I tried to do the auto lock set up today, doesn't work. Must only be a feature on 09+ models.led hed wrote:my 2009 will auto lock at 15mph AND if i use the key fob to unlock it and wait too long to get in the car, it'll lock again.
Well said. Thank youled hed wrote:Ivy, if this has been discussed before, then don't reply. simple.
i haven't discussed it before, and i am glad i did now. k? k.
Ya I would have liked this feature too.Ivy wrote:I'm not upset with any of you. We're free to post anything Versa related we'd like. I'm just annoyed that Nissan would change the BCM after one year to prevent us 07-08's from not having it. Maybe with a remote start, their could be a workaround?
Thanks for the reply.
Try this:1. get in and close all doors2. turn the ignition switch to the on position3. within 20 seconds of step 2:- for auto lock at 15mph, hold the lock button on the window switch for 5 or more seconds- for auto unlock when ignition is turned off, hold the unlock button for 5 or more secondslisasnewversa wrote:Is there any way to turn off the auto-lock feature? I just bought a 2010 Versa and the autolock has been kind of a pain. I carpool with someone and the car locks as I drive to pick them up, and have to turn off the car before it will let me unlock the doors to let my carpooler in and then have to re-start the car. There has to be an easier way!
When I test drove the 2010 SL I was trying to get (I got to spend dealers gas by taking the Versa the 60mile round trip to my house to get my papers and stuff), I pulled out on the road its one (Nothing else is on the road) and I stopped and looked because I thought somehow a rock hit me! Then i noticed the door was locked lol. I like the auto lock feature. Its pretty neat that you can deactivate it too.norton3 wrote:I have a 2010 SL, it has the auto-lock feature, at first I kept thinking I hit a stone(the loud pop sound of the lock ingaging)then realized what it was doing, nice feature to have, and as was stated, no need to turn the car off to unlock, just hit the unlock button on the arm rest.
