For about a month or more I have been smelling a funny, somewhat moldy odor... and then for a little over a week now I have noticed that every morning when I get in the car to go to work, there is heavy moisture/water under the floormats. Today, I took all the floormats out to do a closer inspection and maybe try to dry the floor a bit. On the passenger side there were actually little tiny mushrooms growing in the wet under the floormat and up from under the carpet.

Does anyone know what is going on here? This is grossing me out. Someone said that they have heard of rain and AC condenscation leaking into the floor under the carpet if the drainage spout gets clogged.

PLEASE HELP!

Try to trace the wet line or keep touching around to feel where is those water comes from.

Other than that, how you park the car? Like a small uphill or downhill? In a Garage with door closed or the driveway is your Garage?

If your car is that new, I really recommend you to send it back to Nissan and ask them why. (08 car, drainage or piping got clogged already... It does sounds a bit weird for me)

My drive is flat surface... Usually park outside in summer and inside in winter... how would parking affect this issue?

Because usually my workplace's parking lot have tons of leafs, dirt. etc etc drop on top of my car, so usually I do see some water coming out once I drive fast.

(That's why I ask you indoor or outdoor)

For the parking position, if it's at the flat surface, do you see anything leak into the car from the firewall? May be some leafs clog the windshield area's drain so it can't drain.

(Try to make your car go toward downhill and stop, you may be able to see where is those water came from. If it's somethin like anti-freeze, how can a Mushroom grow. right?)

You should have brought it into the dealership as soon as you smelt mold. Bring it to the dealer and explain what happened. Mention the roof liner leak recall.
