A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Greetings from the Nissan Versa forums!! I love my 07 Versa and I"m starting to shop around for a new car for my wife. She currently has an '03 Chevy Malibu that I want to get rid of in the fall. Anyway, I'm looking at a Civic, Corolla, Matrix, Vibe, and Sentra, just to name a few.

With that said, the Sentra really catches my eye, however, I'm not sure how my wife feels about it. I bought my Versa because I wanted 4 doors, hatch, and a manual and it was cheaper new then a used Vibe or Matrix. Anyway, how reliable have the new Sentras been? I've seen some posts of problems which makes me a bit weary. The whole idea of getting rid of her Malibu is because her warranty is almost up and she just had about $1800 in repairs that were luckily covered. I've had my fill of American cars and their problems, and yes, I'm aware that foreign cars have their issues as well. However, it seems Nissan/Toyotoa/Honda are pretty reliable. So before I continue rambling....are the new Sentras pretty reliable??

well i can say i love my sentra...besides the ****ty stereo it came with lolso far ive only had one issue and that was a torn cv boot, which i am to belive occured due to them repaving the highways in my area...they were very rocky and dusty and something must of flown up and cut the boot

other than that i love this car...it gets great gas milage..looks pretty hot with tints and rims...handles awesome and doesnt feel cheep

id deffinatly get it for her its a good buy....i drive 120 miles each day back and forth to school and its a very comfortable ride...and im averaging 31 mpg doing around 70-75ish...if i beat on it a lil ill get 25mpg at the lowest

deffinatly thubs up

btw mines an 07 but i dont think theres anything different about the 08's

I just purchased my Sentra 2 weeks ago and I'm in love with it.I got the SL model, gray exterior with orange leather seats (very rare here in Chicago) looks awesome!!! The keyless feature is nice and the CVT transmission is very smooth. Best choice among the models you mentioned (Civic a close second, but the CVT trany gives the Sentra an edge)

Sentras have always been reliable, especially the B15 series, in time we'll know if the current C16 models are just as good. If the SL model is in your budget, you wont be dissapointed.

07+ Sentras have been pretty problem-free thus far. Go for it!
