I just bought an '08 sedan, black on black. I live in south Alabama and when it's hot outside I just can't seem to get the interior cooled off. The air coming from the vents is cool but it just never seems to cool of the interior. I've also had the windows tinted to 15% and 50% on the entire front windshield. Has anyone else noticed this problem? I just sold my '04 Max, silver w/ black interior, and it cooled off in a matter of a couple minutes. I can't believe that the factory air would be that poor.

Take it to the dealer and have them test your AC. Could be a problem with the compressor...

Or a freon leak?

Defiantly take it in if you suspect a concern.

You can perform a little test if you want. Get a small thermometer, a digital kitchen thermometer will work well. Put it in one of the center vent when the AC is on and see what the outlet temperature is. It should be in the 40s-50s depending on heat, humidity and engine load and what the sensor input tell the control unit to do.

are the AC lines dirty at the connections?? If there is a leak, the oil will attract dirt.

My 07 sedan cools down very fast in the AZ sun.

I have black interior too.

I took the car back to Infiniti and after a short 10 minute wait they were done. The service department said it was just low on freon, they also stated that they've never seen that happen from with a brand new car. Anway, the AC is blowing ice cubes now...huge difference. Hopefully it's not a slow leak somewhere but only time will tell.

Glad you got it taken care of! I would think that they inspected the lines for any damage that could cause a leak. But the compressor/evaporator could have a bad seal. Like Zozo said, keep your eye on it!
