Hi All:

I a newbie to the forum. I recently purchased a '08 QX56 (1 week ago) and with just 500 miles on it its already back in the shop. I was having problems with vibration while waiting at lights and hearing squealling / sqeaking sounds coming from the engine. The dealer stated that I had "bad bearings in pulleys." I am not an expert in cars so I don't have a complete feeling for what exactly that is (has a rough idea) but it doesn't sound normal. Is this by chance a common problem with Armadas/QX56s? Should I be concerned about overall reliability. I was on the fence before I brought the QX56 due to relability concerns in the past but took a chance on the vehicle anyway. Please tell me I didn't make a huge mistake !!!

ThanksMarc

HEY MARC!

Glad to have you here! You totally don't need to worry! I promise you that! That is not a normal problem with the QX56, Armada, or the Titan. Let your dealer take care of the problem for you, Infiniti dealers are usually pretty good at kissing customer's butts. I had one of the original '04 QX56 and had the common "brake issue", not only did they take care of the problem, but they warrantied the brakes for the life of the vehicle. TRUST ME, you didn't go wrong with your purchase, I have an '08 Armada (basically same as QX56) I picked up about three weeks ago, and it is so much nicer than my '04 QX56 was, they really improved things over the last few years. You should post some pictures in the Picture Thread of your new QX56, we would all love to drool a little more! Congrats on the purchase, let me know what the problem was, and enjoy the new ride!
