Besides the nicer leather and the option for intelligent cruise control (which I LOVE on my g35x) the main thing that I preferred on the 2008 QX56 is the electroluminescent instrument panel (which I also love in my g35x). I just couldn't justify the added expense and went with the Armada.

The orange illuminated dash in the Armada is fine, but the electroluminescent in the QX56 is so markedly nicer that I'm considering the possiblity of upgrading.

Does anyone know:

1) the part number(s) for the 2008 QX electroluminescent instrument panel and 2) if the shape and mount points of the QX panel are exactly the same as in the 2008 Armada?

I've been looking online for FSM for both the 08 QX56 and the 08 Armada LE, but I'm only finding subscription based sites. If anyone has the applicable pages from each FSM, I'd appreciate any info that you have on this.

NOTE: I'd bet money they're the same, there's probably an additional harness in the QX56 that's "unused" (left hanging) in the Armada. I'll also bet the cluster is cost-prohibitive to get from a dealer, I'd start scouring junkyards via http://www.car-part.com
