08 nissan rogue sl awd moonroof help

i have a 08 nissan rogue sl awd with a factory installed moonroof/sunnroof. never had no problems with the sunroof.
last night i left the vent up over night. this morning i tried to close it and it would not close. it will not close automatic. but if i keep pressing the button it will close and the same thing after i get it down it will not go up. if i keep pressing the button. it goes up even if i want it to go back it does the same i have to keep pressing the button for it to work.

i made sure it was clean nothing on the tracks i even put a lil greese on the tracks i disconnected the battery, i even tried the INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE but no help can someone help

INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE copy and pasted from your site
If the sunroof does not close or open automatically, use the following procedure to return sunroof operation to normal.

1. Close the sunroof if it is not in the closed position. It may be necessary to repeatedly push the switch to close the sunroof.
2. Press and hold the TILT UP switch the sunroof will tilt up. Release the button. when i do this it goes up a little and stops but if i keep pressing the button it goes all the way up
3. Press and hold the TILT UP switch again. Do not release the switch, keep pressure on it. After 4 seconds of depressing, the sunroof will full close. when i do this step it does nothing after 4seconds
4. Initializing procedure is complete. Confirm proper operation of the sunroof (slide open, slide close, tilt up,tilt down.)

Do you have a sunroof wind deflector installed by chance? There is a technical bulletin on them and the dealer should replace it under warranty.

The sunroof will not close due to interference by the wind deflector.

ACTION:
Replace the wind deflector with the one listed in PARTS INFORMATION.
