My 08 Maxima will not start after I changed the battery terminals. The battery is good, but the car just starts blinking consol lights and overhead lights. Doors want lock from door controls. If I lock the car with the remote the overhead lights won't go out. Help?? I've waited hours for something to reset. Checked the battery - it is good. Tryed jumping it off. Nothing. Its Staurday and Nissan doen't open until Monday. Help!

You literally only changed the battery, didn't touch anything else?

As far as I know. If something else was touched it was on accident

Why did you change the battery terminals? Do you still have the original ones? Maybe you could try putting them back and see if that's the problem.

The old ones were corroded. I had cleaned them about of month ago, but they corroded again, so I changed them out and applied that stuff to keep them from corroding again. The old one feel apart when I took it off.

Try checking your alternator and your fuses.

The battery terminals fell apart already on an 08?

This is why I only use dry cell batteries.

I think it might have something to do with the security system/immobilizer key......

Did you make sure all connections were re-attatched as they used to be? There are a few smaller wires that you may have missed...

Also, the anti-corrosion stuff you spread on the terminals, did you put any of it on the inside of the connectors? It's only supposed to go on the outside AFTER you attach the new connectors BTW. Di-electric grease is non-conductive!!

Did you hook up the battery the right way....positive to positive, negative to negative? It might be a silly question, but I've seen it happen numerous times.
