so this happened, i finall pulled the trigger n bought the Megan Racing midpipes for m35! Stock on the left, Megan on the right. Cold starts are very deep roar (just how i like it) and now instead of falling flat a 6k rpm on wot, it pulls all the way to redline, much improved trq. now when i stabbed it, im spinning my 22s until traction control takes over. but in all im happy.

You really need to replace your rear diff bushings too. Your stock bushing in the back is completely blown.

The rear bushing is a terrible design that is hollow and filled with silicone fluid. It breaks in the majority of the G's, M's, 350Z's, and 370z's within a few years or after a single track session of driving. The silicone oozes out and down the back of the rear diff.
The fluid you have on the back could just be way overfilling the oil in your diff, but the rear bushing leaks in the exact same spot and way as all that fluid you have there on your diff. The bushing is directly above there just out of sight in your picture. If you haven't ever changed to an aftermarket bushing then it is a near sure thing your rear bushing is done.

CG87, I can help you with that. I installed the same Megan midpipe setup with Megan mufflers. I still have the original OEM midpipe resonators. I had to cut them from the pipe assembly so the trash guy would take it away. I have not thrown out the resonators yet.
I will check out if they are straight thru first thing tomorrow & get back to you.

I just ordered myself the midpipes. Should be in on Monday. Hopefully I'll have them installed before the end of next week.

The stock (OEM) midpipe resonators (as shown in babycharm's first photo) are straight pass thru, no baffles!
