I doubt this was an option in 2006 and I don't see or know much about it specific to our cars but if you bent the pins inside my first question to you is how the heck did you manage that? Second question, where is this compact flash slot?

I'll bet it's easily replaceable.

Do you know how to dissassemble the front to get the CD changer out? My recommendation is to take it appart so you can get to the compact flash slot from the rear. It may take some soldering knowledge but you can de-solder a compact flash socket using a solder puller then search for a new compact flash slot and resolder. Or the more expensive solution is to get it done professionally.

i am familiar with taking a part the cd head unit, and will probably have someone who is more technical savvy to get into the unit. Thanks for your input.

If the pins aren't broken just bend the pins straight.

good luck bending the pins back, you should be able to replace the CF card socket no problem, just need to solder it.

i don't have a steady hand to bend em back probably make it worse. Its built in the head so would have to gut it open, (creating more problems). So ill just let it be.. :squint:

OP, sorry to hear about your earlier issue of your question not being answered. Mind if I ask what it was?

As for the CF slot...do you need help sourcing the part number of the radio?
