I just purchased this 08 M35 Sport and I have to say....I am in love with it. I am debating if I should put the OEM rear deck spoiler on it. I have not seen too many around my area to see what they look like in person. My 06 M35 non sport had one and I liked it. But this rear end looks different so I dont know.... What do you guys think?

I would get one like the oem style

If you pass an Infiniti dealer you may want to stop to see one in person.

Do the following and check your engine:
1) close all windows
2) turn radio off and ac off
3) go somewhere very quiet
4) slightly throttle your car to about 900 to 1100 rpm
5) listen carefully for a knock or a tap.
6) if you do, thank me later and take your car in to dealership for replacement short block under warranty

I am about to get a second short block on my 08 and I only have 26k miles. I only drove 5k miles since the last time I got a new short block. My fx35 is fine but my m35 seems to come with bad fortune...

I love this Slate color.....I would have never thought I would. Actually went to the dealer to drive a black one. Once I saw this one, shopping was over!

Did you check the engine for tapping?? I suggest you do it asap to make sure your engine is OK before your warranty runs out.

Just a quick comment on the engine tap. I'm in the middle of addressing the situation as well. See if the tap disappears when the AC is on (lowest fan setting). Then see if it is there with just the fan on. If this is the case, its possible that its just the tensioners that need checking/replacing.

I have similar issues that zerg mentioned (though with the 45x) and in mid diagnosis with the dealer.

Dont let it sour you. Its a great car for sure. Having a great dealer around is a plus with warranty issues like this.

Ok, I just went and did the engine test. All of them, and no knock or tapping noise. Only noise I could really hear coming from the engine were the sounds of the tensioners turning. Whew, hopefully this M35 is OK!! I hope....... :frown:

That's good to hear!

My M is at the dealership for the 2nd time due to tapping sounds on light throttle. I only have 26k miles on my car and this is the second time the engine may be replace....

Thats crazy...... only 26k and to have that. Ouch. Mine has 60k and still feels like new. I will try to make it stay that way!

Congrats on your purchase... Love this color as well, never thought I would like it so much like you said... I just sold mine a few months ago and missing it!! Mine was a very rare fully loaded 08 M45, V8, Sport, Adv.tech, rear DVD ent. Package, rear spoiler already on, etc. you can check some of my threads if you are interested in seeing how it would look stock vs. modified :dblthumb:

Check your user profile/settings as I was unable to reply to your PM!! It says PM's disabled!

The rear decklid spoiler bolts on! It will definitely compliment that sporty effect on your car :dblthumb: dropping this car is easy... My best experience came with the eibach pro kit springs over stock struts!! I recommend the front adjustable control arms to reduce camber wear on your tires... If possible, get all four camber adjustable kit. Rear is fairly cheap $$$ and also very effective... :gotme check prices on autoanything.com

My favorite set of wheels by a long shot where the WORK wheels... This color looks great with chrome/polished lips and the bright Silver face!! :dblthumb:
