I want to purchase some 20's staggered. I need to know the optimal offset in the rear 20x10 without rolling the fenders. I want to purchase Vertini Sicilians and it has an offset of 30 mm. Will that fit my vehicle without rolling the fenders. I want to avoid rolling the fenders at all cost because i'm afraid it will void my warranty or someone will mess it up. Any suggestions will appreciated.

I too really like that wheel. I have been thinking about getting a wheel very similar to that. When click on the chart, it only places the 20x8.5 size wheels in your cart even if you select the 20x10's for the M45. I guess this is because it will not fit on the front. I would prefer the widest wheel possible that could fit on the front and rear, and not stick out at all past the fender lip. I want the same width rims on all four corners to allow for rotating them.I'm just not seeing that. I would have thought 20x9, but I'm not seeing that size.

I can only be certain for the 06-07 Ms. I would think the 08 would be the same but I can't say that for a fact.

based on the 06-07 specs here are my thoughts.

depends on what look you are going for and how much a drop you want.

if you run bags than the +30 in the rear is fine.

if you are doing a mild drop - than the +30 in the rear is too much. Plus the M's fenders are already rolled! they come that way from the factory, if you feel under your fender you will see it is flat. So you can't roll, only thing you can do is pull - and I have seen one M pull a tad.

again it depends on the look you want - VIP, aggressive, mild.

if you want it flush on a mild drop, with fat tires 275 I would say 20x10 +35

in the fronts you can go +30 easy on a 20x8.5 - more room up front.

I just looked up those wheels....

what about looking at other wheel brands?

you are spending so much hard earned money, get some good stuff.

Iforgedwork360 forged

they will make the wheels custom offset for your M, the finish and build will be stonger and better quality as well.

I know not for everyone but throwing it out, since you have such a nice car!

Can we say....it will tramline to hell and back!!! Has anyone posted or asked what the ride is like after these cars are dropped with bigger rims and tires placed on?If you guys are complaining of the OE size tires tramlining.....BOY, just wait until you drop it and place those extra wide tires on the pavement!! You will no longer be driving your car! You car WILL DRIVE YOU!

All input is welcome and highly recommended!

I am dropped on JIC coilovers -mild (lower than springs). set at middle damper.

I have been on two different sets of 20s Work T1s and now Auto-Couture wheels.

No problems, love the ride, no tram, no problems... just make sure to do the normal things, make sure tire pressure is good (should be no problem with our TPMS), alignment, balance... I have Nitto 555 tires 245 fronts and 275 rears...

I personally have not had any problems...

20s. For me, most of the time 22s look too big. I have seen some Ms with 22s that were nice, as it had a kit and coilovers to make it look lower.

I have 20s staggered on mine. For me, if you get a good drop, and proper offset, the car will look fine and everything looks like it fits right.

the Wheels are Auto-Couture Lative wheels, forged, brushed alum, clear coated.

You should see the wheel hardware, not just screws but all little AC logos...detail is just sweet

Yeah, I got it. Thanks! You have some pricey equipment brother. All high quality I'm sure. I will definitely be looking into those coil overs though. That is the only way I would do it too! How does it ride compared to a OEM sport M45 and a OEM base M45. The reason I ask is because I have driven the M45 Sport and wife thought it was too rough riding. That's why I went with the base model. How does the ride compare. My wife drives the M 95% of the time....I get the remaining 5%....

totally with you on the sport... I thought wtf...too damn stiff. I think the spring damper rate is a tad too stiff.

I have teh base but other members who have the sport and base will tell you that JIC is hands down much better than stock sport or base springs.

If you don't need a crazy drop look at the Tein CS (not flex) that is also a nice ride (review all the lexus owners with tein. For some reason I thought the Tein was a little cheaper, but I think it may be the same.

You can also adjust the damper rate on both the Tein and the JIC to make it stiffer and softer... like I said mine is in the middle and it rides very nice, no float, no motion sickness...hehehe

so nowhere near the stiffness of the sport...

I know megan came out with a true coilover set up, much cheaper than JIC and Tein. Not sure of the quality either way as I have no experience with Megan but I think some guys may have it here... just another option.

I personally would stick with Tein or JIC, but I know that is not for everyone.

Sounds perfect the way you are describing them. In sll my past experiences with lowering cars or trucks it has always netted me a rougher ride. The best one I had luck with was my old 93 GT Mustang that I used a progressive rate spring on and adjustable Koni struts and shocks. It actually rode better and handled better. I then braced it all up with a G-load brace, strut tower brace, larger MM front sway bar, dual rear sway bar system, rear pan hard bar, and a complete polyurethane bushing kit front to rear. Well, all I can say is it handled like a pro race car, but rode too rough and ridgid for an all day cruise!I need to quit talking about that car.... I still miss it to this day. I would still have it if I didn't wreck it in my younger years! That was a lot of money that blew away with the wind. I could go on all day with the mods that car was equipped with, but it's all in the past.

Lawman,Your car looks awesome. I love the black car with you wheels, would love to see more pictures, one is not enough, let's see your JP exhaust. Have you ever thought of putting aux lights in the air dam, maybe PIAA or daytime running lights, like the Audi.?

Vossen makes some really nice wheels, check them out, and very affordable. Some are two tone which looks good on Black M cars.

Zero tramlining with the 22's. Overall way better handling than stock. I would never go any other size.

lawman , if you don't mind, what are the exact width, and offsets youre running? I want mine to look exactly like yours, possibly even get the exact same wheels, it looks amazing! only thing I have an m45x so I'm still debating the staggered option... also based on your 275s do you think its at all possible to get a 285 in there? It's actually almost identical diameter wise to the 245/35-20 I'd be running in front... i see what you recommended, is that what your'e running? the 8.5. 30 front and 10 35 offset rear? and can I run that with no drop at all?
